With the heated up online merchandising, retailers are only striving to make it all the more convenient for the shoppers to transact online. But somewhere between shipping costs and shipping times, all the attempts fall back. Free in-store pick ups make these ends meet.

Retailers Offering Free In-Store Pickup 

With time, more and more brick-and-mortar retailers are kickstarting “Buy Online & Pick-up in store” programs, where you can shop and pick up freely at the store, within a few hours of placing the order. Some stores don’t even let you deboard the car, with their curbside service they get your order outside the store till where your car is parked. Check out the 15 stores below that currently offer in-store pickup the same day or after the items arrive at the store. Make sure you hit the “pick up in store” option at checkout at times you order through these stores. 

1. Best Buy 

Having stuffed the cart at Best Buy, at checkout select “Store Pickup” and the nearest local store of choice. Wait for the pickup confirmation from the store which ideally takes a maximum of 2 hours after the order is placed. Carry your credit card you might have used for purchase, a valid photo ID, and your order number. Park your cars in the slots marked for “store pickup”,  you just need to sign to quickly get your order. 

2. Home Depot 

Home Depot sees a spike, and additional sales, in customers choosing to buy online and pick up their purchases in store. Give up the hassle of trolling the aisles of Home Depot for that unplanned, invigorated carriage bolt. Order online, pick up at customer service and avoid the rambling that follows! Unlock this deal on thousands of items at the store. Get free in-store pickup available at all Home Depot stores, with orders ready within two hours of purchase. 

3. JCPenney 

While checking out through JCPenney.com, hit on "Pick Up at Store", proceed while entering your zip code, and then select your home store location. As you set free from being charged a shipping fee, you'll have to wait 4-7 business days for your order to be mailed to your local store. You'll get a confirmation email when your order is ready for pick-up. Be sure to take along  the email with the purchasing credit card when picking up your purchase.

4. Apple 

With Apple's very own Pickup Program one can place an order from the online Apple store or the store app and pick it up through their desired retail location. Within one hour of placing the order, you will receive a notification confirming the pick-up of your order. With Apple’s free personal set up service, you can come out of the store with a braced up and functioning product. 

5. Bed Bath & Beyond 

Bed Bath & Beyond sees a spike, and additional sales, in customers choosing to buy online and pick up their purchases in store. You pick up the items you want to purchase online and enter your credit card details to pursue them. Bed Bath & Beyond will then send you an email confirming the reservation of your order. At arrival to the store, show the confirmation email and checkout with any form of payment you want. They might hold your items for 2 days. Don’t forget to use up those 20% off coupons on your purchase at the store. 

6. Lowe’s 

Opt for order pick-up in store whenever you place an order on Lowes.com or on the mobile app. You’ll be notified via email once your order is ready for pickup. At Lowe’s, they hold your items for up to 4 days.

7. Nordstrom 

Users love Nordstrom for the services! In-store pickup is an unconventional bonus. Nordstrom also lets you access same-day delivery of your order. If you want a part of your order urgently, you can hop on the store for free in-store pickup. Rest of your order will be delivered at your place when notified. Keep tracking the status of your order via Nordstrom app, once you reach the store, a store associate will bring your order out to you. 

8. Old Navy 

OId Navy offers free in-store pickup at all its outlets nationwide. If you are done placing the order online, you can pick it up in the next seven days at a specially designated booth at the Old Navy store. 

9. Redbox

Looking for an easy and cheap terminal  to your movie and games quest? Rent movies on DVD and Blu-ray, games, at over 35000 locations nationwide with Redbox kiosks at every corner. Pay online and reserve in the app, and then pick up and return at the kiosks as it goes. 

10. Walmart 

Lots of products at the store are available with free pick-up or same day shipping to your nearest Walmart, which gives you an extended look through the items that might go out of stock in your local stores. Walmart gives you a checkout bonus in disguise of “free pickup+discount” at checkout. Go, get the most out of your order at Walmart. 

11. Macy’s 

Macy's recently broke out with their "Buy Online, Pick Up in Store" program. Whenever you shop at Macys.com, look for items marked "NEW! Pick Up in Store" to sort the items. They offer free in-store pickup on most items in just two hours if your order is placed before 6 p.m. local time.You'll get an email when your order is ready to be picked up, typically within 3 hours. During checkout, you can appoint someone to pick up the order for you. The person who picks up needs to bring a photo ID and confirmation email to the store.

12. Dick’s Sporting Goods 

When shopping through Dick’s Sporting Goods, select free-in store pick up for your order at checkout in case of urgency. You’ll be notified for the same through email. Bring in this notification, along with a valid photo ID to claim your purchase. Only the person that placed the order can pick it up. Orders placed between 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday, are usually available for pick up within two hours.

13. GameStop 

Gamestop pick up at the store program offers a conducive way to shop. Check for the available products at the local store before you proceed to avail free in-store pickup through your local Gamestop stores. Once checked and having placed the order, you receive an email saying your order is ready for pick up. Also, you just need to pay for your order at the prices listed in-store, not online. 

14. Tiffany & Co. 

Shop for jewelry creations of timeless beauty and superlative craftsmanship that will leave your heart awed, and then pick up select items at one of three Tiffany stores in New York City. While you’re at their brick-and-mortar store, they might serve you with some delicious breakfast! 

15. Target

Shopping experience at Target, is nothing like the name implies. You enter Target stores, but end up engaging with 10 more things of your choice at the store. To stay more focused, opt for ordering online and pick-up at store for your next purchase at Target
